Are there male and female driving instructors available in Watford and Rickmansworth?
You have a choice of male or female driving instructors for driving lessons in Watford, Rickmansworth, Abbotts Langley, South Oxhey, Amersham and the surrounding areas. However this may be dependant on the choice of manual or automatic car. Please ring or email the office to check the availability of our driving instructors.
Are there ever other pupils in the car on my driving lessons?
At Bradleys we ensure our driving school has a policy of never picking up other pupils on your driving lessons, nor having other pupils in the car whilst your driving instructor is out on your lesson with you. Very occasionally there may be a DSA examiner or a senior Bradleys driving instructor in the car with you, but you will always be informed as to when this will happen.
How long is each driving lesson?
At Bradleys the shortest driving lesson we offer is one hour long, and we make sure that as a pupil you get the full one hour driving lesson you pay for. However we do not limit you to a one hour driving lesson at a time - you can take one and a half hours or two hour lessons. It all comes down to what availability you and your driving instructor have.
We understand that some driving schools may want you to take two hours at a time, but here at Bradleys we understand that it is you as the pupil who needs the lesson to fit in with the time you have available.
Do you offer discounts on your driving lessons?
As a large driving school we are usually in a position to offer some discounts on driving lessons that are booked in blocks. It is always best to check either the driving schooll offer page or the prices page, or to ring the office as these do change from time to time. Here at Bradleys we are always looking to offer you, the pupil, the best value for driving lessons and we ensure that our pricing policy is very competitive for the level of service that we offer.
How many driving lessons will it take for me to pass my test?
This is always a difficult question to answer! There is not a set number of driving lessons, but the general guideline from the DSA is that you should be looking at around 40 hours of driving lessons and roughly the same number of hours in what they term as private practice. Obviously people learn to drive at different speeds, but a good rule of thumb is that the more driving lessons you take then the more chance you have of passing your test.
